FAQ

    • On submitting the registration form for internet banking you will get a password mailer envelope from the Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd.
    • This pin mailer will be delivered to you within 10 days from the application. Another pin for TPIN (transaction pin) will be sent to your home branch within 10 days of submitting application form. You are required to show your identity proof when you collect the TPIN mailer envelop.
    • If you are authorizing your representative to collect the mailer envelope, you need to submit an authority letter verifying the signature of the representative copy of your identity proof and he should show his / her identity proof while collecting the TPIN. This is mandatory to ensure safety of your account.
    • The both pin mailers will have your password. It is a mandatory requirement to change these passwords at the first login.
    • On the login page, enter your customer id in the field of login id and enter your login password in the field of password. You will receive an OTP (one time password) on your registered mobile number.
    • Once you enter this OTP, system will ask you to change your password forcefully while attempting for the first login. System will not allow you to proceed without changing your default password.
    • Enter your default password from the pin mailer in the old password box.
    • Enter a new password of your choice. (the new password length should be from 8 to 16 characters with minimum 1 upper and lower alphabet, 1 special character and minimum 1 numeric with no space in between example: Kjsb@1234)
      • Enter same password in the field confirm login password.
      • Click on ‘I agree’ button and press ok.
      • Once you change the password with the one of your choice, you will get message "login password changed successfully".
      • You are required to re-login again with new login password by clicking on please re-login icon.
      • Repeat the above process for Transaction Pin also.
      • It is advisable to use virtual keyboard for more security.

    • There is no charge at present for accessing Retail Internet Banking system. However the Bank reserves right to introduce charges deemed fit at any time in future without prior notice to the customer.
    • Charges will be displayed on the Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank’s website periodically. The customer is required to check the bank's website and Internet Banking site periodically.

Following functionalities will be offered in phases :

    • Account Overview : View account balance, personal details and download account statements in various formats.
    • Intra Bank Fund Transfer : Transfer funds to any other accounts of Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank
    • Inter Bank Funds Transfer (RTGS/NEFT) : Transfer Funds to other bank accounts only after creating new payee / beneficiary. Fund Transfer can be made to a new payee / beneficiary only after 24 hours from payee / beneficiary addition.
    • Loans : View Loan Account details at a glance & download in various formats.
    • Recurring & Fixed Deposits : View instantly all your deposit receipts.
    • Cheques : View actual status of your cheques.
    • Reset Password : Reset Password for login as well as for transactions.

    • Cheque status request displays the status of any of your cheque whether issued / paid / stopped.

    • We have built several security checks to protect your banking transactions. You will be asked to enter your unique Customer ID & Password to verify your identity before accessing your internet banking account. To maximize the security & confidentiality of your transactions, your Login Password should not be accessible to anyone. Please do not share your Password with anyone. All the transactions i.e. fund transfers you do via internet banking need an OTP authentication. OTP is a unique one time generated password which is system generated & sent on your registered mobile number directly by the system. OTP once generated for a particular transaction cannot be used again for other transaction.
    • Additionally you will have to confirm the transaction with your Transaction PIN.
    • The Bank is using all feasible measures to keep all transactions secure. However the customer should be aware that, Internet is an unsecure area and the customer has to be careful while using shared computers or Internet access devices. Leakage of the information or fraudulent transactions from shared devices will be the responsibility of the customer. The Bank is not liable to reimburse any losses.
    • When you login to Internet Banking, your last date and time of login will be displayed. So, please make sure that it is you,who accessed the Internet Banking system the last time.
    • In addition to these we have also provided a unique feature of Activity Log Report. This report gives the date & time wise activities carried out. We request you to check your activities before logging out. These features work together to maximize the security of your banking transactions. However, in order to ensure complete security, please log-out of Internet Banking after the completion of your transaction.

    • Login password complexity should be in the form of at least 8 alphanumeric characters consisting of 1 upper case alphabet, 1 lower case alphabet, 1 number and a special character.
    • Your new password cannot be the same as your last login password.
    • Your login password will expire in 90 days after which you have to change your password.

To change your login password, please follow the instructions given below :

    • Use the ‘Change / Forgot Password’ option on the home page to change your password.
    • You can change login password as well as transaction password through this option.
    • Be careful that your key in the password in the same manner as explained before.

Password can be reset by following simple procedure :

    • On login window, please click ‘Change / Forgot Password’ option.
    • After clicking, you will be displayed the process to be followed for resetting the password, after going through the same please click on “Click here to proceed”
    • Now after completing following three steps, your new password can be set.
      • Step 1 – Type your Customer ID
      • Step 2 – Type your Registered Mobile Number
      • Step 3 – Type the OTP (One Time Password) which is sent on your registered mobile.
    • After completing these 3 steps, you can reset the password in the new window.
    • Note : For resetting Login Password & Transaction Password, the process will be the same.

    • OTP is One-time password which is introduced as an additional transaction feature to protect your account to avoid online frauds. OTP is a unique six digit numeric code sent to your registered mobile number.

    • Check if the login ID and password are entered correctly. Please note the passwords are case sensitive. You can also use the Virtual Keyboard to avoid errors in typing.
    • After three incorrect login attempts, your Login ID gets locked. In such a case, you need to reset your password using debit card credentials.
    • If you still encounter the problems, contact your nearest branch or call our toll free number 1800 233 1919 for assistance.

    • The login ID cannot be changed ever as it is the unique customer number assigned to you.
    • The login password can be changed any time. It is advisable to change your login password periodically for your safety.

    • This message is displayed when a user directly closes the session window, without logging out or it may happen due to disruption in the connectivity. User can re-log in after 5 minutes.
    • Please ensure that you have read the terms and conditions document properly before you access the Internet Banking system. Please counter sign the same and submit it to your home branch along with your registration form.
    • The Bank is not to be held responsible for any fraudulent transactions from your ID at any time.

    • Always change your password periodically. Refer Password related tips available on Change Password page to change the password. Avoid obvious passwords (names of family members, date of birth, pets, favorite player etc.) & do not share the password with anyone.
    • Never write your password on any location. Remember it always. If you feel that your password is compromised, go online and change it immediately.
    • If you are using the internet in a public place (e.g. Cyber Café) do not leave the PC unattended, and ensure that no-one is watching what you type, your user Id or password.
    • Every time you complete your online banking session, log off from the internet banking application URL. Do not just close your browser.
    • Ensure that save history option on your browsers is disabled.

    • You can access the Internet Banking from any computer which has access to Internet. Be sure that your computer has an updated antivirus and a firewall in place to avoid pilferage.
    • Avoid accessing the Internet Banking site from any shared computer like an Internet Café or from open Wi-Fi hot spots. Your access codes can be copied.
    • Having the following will improve your internet security:
      • Newer version of Operating System with latest security patches.
      • Latest version of Browsers (Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox 1 and above, Opera 9.5 and above, Safari 3.5 & above, Google chrome, etc.)
      • Firewall is enabled.
      • Antivirus signatures applied.

    • Our Internet Banking website www.kalyanjanata.net is a secured site having EVSSL certificate, which is indicated by padlock symbol. Extended Validation SSL Certificates give high-security web browser information to clearly identify a website's organizational identity.
    • If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 to visit a website secured with an SSL Certificate that meets the Extended Validation Standard, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 will cause the URL address bar to turn green. A display next to the green bar will toggle between the organization name listed in the certificate & the Certificate Authority (trust)
    • Firefox 3 also supports Extended Validation SSL. Other browsers are expected to offer Extended Validation visibility in upcoming releases. Older browsers will display Extended Validation SSL Certificates with the same security symbols as in the existing SSL Certificates.

    • Access your bank website only by typing the URL in the address bar of your browser.
    • Do not be lured if you receive an e-mail / SMS / phone call promising reward for providing your personal information or for updating your account details in the bank site.
    • Do not reply to any fraudulent mails purportedly sent by KJSB or any other authorities asking for your mail ID as well as Passwords and any other details. Please delete such mails because this is a phishing mail and accessing the mail in any manner could result in identity theft.
    • Scan your computer regularly with Antivirus to ensure that the system is Virus / Trojan free.
    • Avoid accessing Internet banking accounts from cyber cafes or shared Pcs. If you get a message (such as through a pop-up) asking information about your Debit Card or any account Details, please do not provide this information no matter how ‘genuine' the page appears to be. Such pop-ups are most likely the result of malwares infecting your computer.
    • Never use cyber cafes to access your online accounts :
      Pcs at cyber cafes may be infested with viruses and Trojans that can capture & transmit your personal data to fraudsters. Beware of typing passwords on unknown PCs. If you do, ensure to change your password at the earliest using your own PC at your workplace or at home.
    • Use the Virtual Keypad :
      Please remember to always use the facility of the Virtual Keypad, provided on the login page while logging on to your account from an unknown PC or from a cyber café.
      • Check the website you are visiting is secure. Before submitting your bank details or other sensitive information the following checks will help ensure that the site uses encryption to protect your personal data: If the address bar is visible, the URL should start with ‘https://' ('s' stands for secured) rather than the usual 'http://'.
      • Please note fact that the website is using encryption doesn't necessarily fully protective. It only tells you that data is being sent in encrypted form.
    • Following the above steps would help you transact over the net in the most secure environment. We reiterate the following simple precautionary measures:
      • Never let anyone know your PINs or passwords, do not write them down. Do not use the same password for all your online accounts.
      • Use virtual keypad.
      • Avoid opening or replying to spam emails, even if purportedly sent by the Bank.
      • Do not be lured if you receive an e-mail/SMS/phone call promising reward for providing your personal information or for updating your account details in the bank site.
      • In case of suspicion, report the matter immediately to us on our customer care number or email us at internetbanking@kalyanjanata.in
      • Look for the padlock symbol on the bottom bar of the browser to ensure that the site is running in secure mode.
      • Disable the "Auto Complete" function on your browser to prevent your browser from remembering Passwords.
      • Always logout to terminate your session, instead of closing the browser directly.
      • Always type the address of the bank’s website in the address bar of your browser or access it from your stored list of favorites.
      • Do not access the bank's website through a link in an email or through another website.
      • Avoid accessing Internet Banking through cyber cafes or public Wi-Fi spots.
      • Using special characters like # $@ etc. in your password is highly recommended.
