SMS Banking

The SMS Banking Service by Kalyan Janata Bank are of two types. One being automatic alerts for any transaction involving your bank account and the other being non-transactional service requests that allow you facilities such as Balance Enquiry, Mini statement or Block ATM / Debit Card.

Auto Alerts :
  • Get the alerts for all debit / credit transactions above a threshold limit (Minimum Amount : ₹ 500)
  • PoS transaction alert : ATM / Debit card swiped at Point of Sales
  • Cheque dishonor alert : Inward / Outward Clearing Cheque issued on account / deposited in the account is dishonored
  • Any specific message sent by bank to the customers

Service Request :
  • Service request allow our customers to stay updated regarding their bank account activity. (However, the service provider may charge some nominal charges. Some of the service providers provide this facility as a complementary service)
Features :
  • It provides various services like Balance Enquiry, Mini statement or Block ATM / Debit Card.
  • Customers having their mobile number already registered in CBS can avail this service, no separate registration is required.
  • Customers of our bank can avail the services by sending SMS from their registered mobile number on 09223051595 by sending following input specification as per requirements.

  • All letters should be in capital while typing above inputs.

  • After the message is sent, within few seconds the user will receive a response from bank on mobile phone regarding enquiry.
Q1. What is IMPS/Kalyan Klick Mobile Application?
  • IMPS i.e. Immediate Payment Service is an innovative & instant money transfer service facilitated by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that empowers customers to transfer money instantly through banks and RBI authorized Prepaid Payment Instrument Issuers (PPI) across India.
    This service is available round the clock, throughout the year including Sundays and any bank holiday. Bank has developed the IMPS application named as Kalyan Klick, which is available on google play store.
Q2. What are the benefits of IMPS/Kalyan Klick Mobile Application?
  • IMPS is a faster way to do a fund without adding a payee. It’s a safe and secure, cost effective way for money transfer. There are no holiday restrictions on IMPS transactions.

Q4. What is MMID? How do I get it?
  • MMID stands for ‘Mobile Money Identifier’. It is a 7 digit MMID unique code issued to you by your bank to enable you to avail of IMPS when you have to receive money. You will have different MMID's for different accounts; however, all these can be linked to a single mobile number registered with Kalyan Janata Bank. For getting MMID number, customer has to register for IMPS/Kalyan Klick facility..
Q5. How do I get IMPS enabled?

The Corporate Internet Banking Facility is available round the clock for all non-individual customers. The features of Corporate Internet Banking are as follows :

  • Sender -

    The customer has to do the Mobile Banking Registration with the branch if he/she wants to initiate the transaction through mobile channel, & has to download 'Kalyan Klick' app from google play store.

  • Receiver -

    The customer can share his/her Account number & IFS code or MMID with sender for receiving money. The receiver can register his/her mobile no. for getting SMS alerts for transactions.

Q6. Who are eligible for IMPS?

The list of possible role in Corporate Internet Banking is as follows :

  • All Savings account holders – Individuals
  • All Current account holders – Proprietor
  • All society / trust / organization accounts are not eligible for IMPS.
Q7. Do I, as a receiver, need to have a bank account to use IMPS?
  • Yes, you need to have a bank account with Kalyan Janata Bank to use IMPS/Kalyan Klick.
Q8. Does the customer need to register to remit the funds through IMPS?
  • For using IMPS facility, a customer need to register for mobile banking with home branch by submitting Multiple Service Form.
Q9. How do I transfer funds using IMPS?

The steps need to follow to initiate transactions through IMPS / Kalyan Klick.

  • The sender (Customer of Kalyan Janata Bank) need to register & download our Kalyan Klick Application.
  • Sender should enters receivers (Customer of Kalyan Janata Bank or any other bank) details like:
    • MMID & Mobile number or Account number & IFS Code
    • Amount to be transferred
    • Remarks/Payment Reference number
  • Both sender & receiver shall get a SMS confirmation after a transaction is completed through the IMPS mode.
Q10. Can a customer link more than one account to the same mobile number?
  • Yes. Customer can link more than one account to the same mobile number. However each account number will have different MMID.
Q11. What are the cut off times for IMPS?
  • There are no cut off times for IMPS. You can receive money 24*7*365 any day any time including Sundays and bank holidays.
Q12. How long does it take for the money to be credited in my account?
  • If the transaction is successful, the money will be credited to your account immediately. The funds transfer happens at a speed of an SMS.
Q13.Is the facility of Stop payments is available on IMPS?
  • No. IMPS is an immediate fund transfer service, after initiating the payment request payment cannot be stopped or cancelled.
Q14. If I change my Mobile no., do I again need to register for Mobile Banking?
  • Yes, customer needs to update their new mobile by submitting application at home branch.
Q15. If I change my Mobile Handset / Telecom service provider, do I need to register again?
  • No need for re-registration if there is no change in mobile number. Re-registration is required only if there is a change in mobile number.
Q16. What happens if my mobile phone is lost?
  • Customers need to inform Bank and deactivate their Mobile banking services.
Q17. What happens in case the payer enters a wrong beneficiary mobile number for remittance?
  • Beneficiary details required for making a successful remittance are mobile number and MMID. The transaction will get declined in case anyone of these two numbers is erroneous and transaction gets reversed instantly.
Q18. Where do I register a complaint with reference to the IMPS transaction?
  • Customer can log IMPS complaint with their respective branches or write to us on imps@kalyanjanata.in
